LAKESIDE PLACE REDEVELOPMENT
The Nelson CARES Society is proposing to redevelop the Lakeside Place affordable housing development, located at 805 Nelson Avenue. The redevelopment will involve the demolition of the existing functionally and physically obsolete housing units, replacing them with a modern, four-storey, wood-frame building that will provide 47 affordable rental apartments for seniors (55 plus) and people with disabilities.
THE PROPOSAL INCLUDES

– 36 one-bedroom units
– 5 studio units
– Residential amenity room Outdoor amenity/recreation space
– 19 underground parking spaces
– Sheltered bike and mobility scooter parking
