1. You can join the Society for $2.00. Your membership entitles you to voting privileges at the Annual General Meeting and helps us demonstrate community support to other funders. 

2. You can make a financial donation to Nelson CARES Society. You can direct your donation to specific programs or leave it with us to ensure your donotion is used where it is most needed.

 3. You can volunteer your time and talents to the Board of Directors. Nelson CARES Society is governed by a Board of Directors who serve for 2 year terms. This is a volunteer position. Particular "board skills" or experience is not required, but a sincere interest in the work of the Society and its programs is. Being able to offer one evening each month for the board meeting in Nelson and participation on Board program committees is the commitment necessary.
Becoming a Nelson CARES Society board member is a great opportunity to assist in maintaining and creating programs to benifit the Nelson community for the support of our most vulnerable citizens. Knowing that you have been able "to make a difference" is the quiet reward available.
