Our Mission Through community collaboration and service excellence, Nelson CARES Society works toward a socially just society by providing programs and initiatives in advocacy, housing, employment, support services, and environmental stewardship. Nelson CARES Society aims to be a reflection of the community it envisions. Our Organization Ends Our Mission includes the following ends: Everyone has safe and adequate housing; Everyone has access to support and representation when they need it; Everyone has adequate means and resources to participate fully in common life; Everyone takes responsibility for environmental stewardship. Nelson CARES gets affordable housing funds

B.C. Housing has awarded $6,300,300 in funding to a Nelson CARES project that will build 48 units of affordable housing.
